Hampshire Countryside Access Forum            Small Grants Scheme!

Welcome to the website of Hampshire Countryside Access Forum, an advisory body working with local government to improve your enjoyment of Hampshire’s countryside whilst safe-guarding its future.

Each county council, unitary council and national park must by law set up a Local Access Forum; this is the joint forum for Hampshire (excluding the New Forest), Southampton and Portsmouth. Its members are local people, balanced between those who use the countryside and those who have responsibility for the management of the land. Together, they seek ways to improve access for all users of the countryside whilst encouraging wildlife and enabling the landowner to make use of his land.

This site acts as a signpost to information relevant to your use of the countryside, gives information about the work of the forum and encourages you to feed in your views so that we may better represent your interests - choose an appropriate section from the list above to see how our work could affect you and get involved!

Lastly, if your interest is in the New Forest or the South Downs, there is a New Forest Access Forum and a South Downs Access Forum looking at issues specifically affecting those areas. Please note that the Hampshire Forum also discusses issues which will affect these areas and so you are advised to check their minutes and agendas pages as well.
