About us
Hampshire Countryside Access Forum is a group of local people
interested in countryside recreation who meet 4-6 times a year to advise the
three councils on improving opportunities to enjoy Hampshire's countryside and
coast.
Choose the Forum members' page from the list to the left to see
information on each member's background and interests.
See the minutes and agendas page for information on what the forum has been discussing
and the advice it has given. This includes advice on Rights of Way Improvement
Plans and details of 'access land' which now carries a public
right for walking. Agendas have covered a large variety of topics,
from advising on Hampshire County Council's policies and
strategies to influencing national
legislation and working with Parish Councils through the Small
Grants Scheme and Parish Path Poll.
The agenda for upcoming meetings is usually available 10
days before the meeting, and we would welcome your views on the items to be
discussed through clicking on the 'Have your Say' link to the left.
The
forum has a sub-group, the 'South Downs Access Forum' looking at issues specific to the South Downs -
see the link on the
left for information.
For the New Forest area, the 'New Forest Access Forum' is the
statutory group, appointed jointly by the National Park
Authority and Hampshire County Council - see the link ion the
left for information.
